Somerset, NJ – Wagner College women's track & field standout
Tiffany Hanna has been named the 2020-21 Provident Bank Northeast Conference (NEC) Female Team Student-Athlete of the Year.
With Hanna's announcement, this marks the ninth straight year that a Seahawk has been awarded this prestigious accolade.
"We couldn't be more proud of Tiffany," said Athletic Director Walt Hameline. "She has committed herself to her athletic craft while excelling in the classroom. As an athletic department, winning this award for the ninth straight year is a great honor and something our Seahawk athletic family can truly be proud of!"
Hanna is the first Seahawk female track and field athlete to garner the award. The Nassau, Bahamas native joins former men's track and field standout Jonathan Besselink as recipients of the honor.

Hanna continues to add to her accolade total as the senior thrower was recently named the NEC's Women's Outdoor Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year. This season, she claimed the NEC Outdoor Most Outstanding Field Performer (Throws) honors for the second time in her illustrious career following a 23-point performance at the 2021 NEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
She won the discus event with an ECAC qualifying mark of 47.74m while coming in second in the hammer at 51.65m. She concluded the weekend with a top-five finish in the shot put with a finals throw of 12.25m.
In the classroom, Hanna concludes her academic career with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.98 while earning the Dr. Donald W. Spiro Award, for best academic achievement for 2021, the most prestigious award at Wagner.
She also was awarded the Douglass Gee Morton Award in Economics for academically outstanding work in economics and as a student of good moral character.
