Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College women's soccer team hosts Central Connecticut on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Hameline Field in the final home contest of the spring.
SEAHAWK BREAKDOWN...
- The Seahawks dropped a 1-0 decision to Bryant last Friday on Senior Night.
- Prior to the contest, Wagner recognized its senior class in a pregame ceremony.
- Wagner matched a season-high with ten shots taken and five of those finding their way on target against the Bulldogs.
- Senior Mya Donnelly tallied a team-leading four shot attempts in Friday night's fixture.
- Junior tri-captain Luisa Barone rocketed two shots on net.
- Sophomore Erin Kelly made six stops in the contest to extend her streak to six straight games of at least five or more saves.
- Kelly leads the conference with 45 saves this season, averaging 7.5 per game.
ALL-TIME AGAINST CENTRAL CONNECTICUT...
- Tuesday's contest marks the 27th all-time meeting between the two schools with CCSU holding a 24-1-1 lead in the head-to-head matchup.
- Wagner's lone triumph against the Blue Devils came on October 19, 2014, on Grymes Hill, as the Green & White earned a 1-0 victory.
ABOUT THE BLUE DEVILS...
- The Blue Devils are the two-time defending NEC champions and enter Tuesday's contest with Wagner at 3-0-0 on the season
- CCSU leads the conference in goals per game (2.0) while not yielding a goal thus far this season.
- Roma McLaughlin leads the league in shots per game (3.67),
- Kelly Brady and Kristina Kelly pace the Blue Devils offense with two goals apiece. Brady is the team's leading point scorer with five (2 goals, 1 assist).
