Staten Island, NY – Following a change in the schedule, the Wagner women's soccer team gears up for its home fixture on Friday evening as the Seahwaks welcome the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers to Hameline Field.
ALL-TIME AGAINST ST. FRANCIS BROOKLYN...
- Wagner won the first-ever meeting between the two squads, earning a 2-0 triumph back on September 22, 2019 at Brooklyn Bridge Park - Pier 5
- The Seahawks struck for the first goal of the match as Wagner found the right transition and capitalized as Isabella Manzella received the pass from Maria Nunez and depositited the ball past the Terrier netminder for Manzella's first career goal.
- The Green & White added the second tally of the match with just two minutes remaining in regulation as Mya Donnelly booted the shot that found the back of the net
- Erin Kelly was credited with three saves in the win
ABOUT ST. FRANCIS BROOKLYN...
- The Terriers are in their second year as a Division I women's soccer program.
- SFBK opened up the spring season with a 3-1 road victory at Merrimack back on March 2.
- Avery Gonzalez had two goals while Sarah DeWitt added the third marker in the victory.
- Gonzalez ranks third in goals scored (2) and seventh in the NEC in points (4).
UP NEXT:
- Wagner closes out the month of March with a road tilt at Mount St. Mary's on Tuesday, March 30.
- Kickoff is slated for 5:00 p.m. in Emmitsburg, MD.
