East Meadow, NY- The Wagner men's swimming & diving team wrapped up the final day of competition at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships on Sunday.

Five Seahawks qualified for finals heats in the preliminaries on Sunday, which is the most to qualify in a day for the Green & White this weekend at the Nassau County Aquatic Center.

Jack Leighton reached a finals heat for the third straight day on Sunday, finishing in 14
th place of the 100 Yard Freestyle preliminaries with a time of 46.86. In the B finals heat, he finished 6
th with a time of 46.90.

Tristan Lee qualified for a finals heat for the second straight day, placing 14
th in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:13.85.

Adrian Aguirre qualified in the 200 Yard Backstroke by placing 10
th with a time of 1:56.50 in the preliminaries. In the B finals heat, he touched the wall at 1:54.52 and finished in 3
rd place of the race.

Derek Whyte also qualified in the 200 Yard Backstroke, posting a time of 2:09.76 and finishing in 19
th place in the prelims. Whyte went on to win the C finals heat, touching the wall five seconds before anyone else at 2:01.95. The Wrentham, MA native also reached the 200 Yard Butterfly finals where he placed 4th in the C heat with a time of 2:00.03.

Matt Dingess continued a solid showing in the pool this weekend, reaching another finals heat for the 200 Yard Butterfly. The freshman posted a 2
nd place finish in the C finals heat with a time of 1:58.73.

The Seahawks finished the ECAC Championships team rankings in 6
th place with a score of 407.5 over 42 events. Wagner has over a month until they are back in action when the Green & White take the short trip to visit The College of Staten Island on Saturday, January 15.
