Women's Swimming & Diving Set For ECAC Championships This Weekend

East Meadow, NY - The Wagner women's swimming & diving team is back in action this weekend for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships at the Nassau County Aquatic Center.
 
The Seahawks come into the weekend with a 3-1 record and will be swimming all three days of the event in East Meadow, NY.
 
 
Last Time Out…
  • The Green & White dropped their first meet of the season on November 6 to the Bryant Bulldogs in Smithfield, RI.
  • Wagner broke a pool record at Bryant in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:47.11.
  • Senior Ellie Eastwood's standout performance against Bryant that included three individual first-place finishes earned her Northeast Conference (NEC) Co-Swimmer of the Week.
  • Eastwood posted a 1:06.53 time in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, a 2:26.25 in the 200 Yard Breaststroke, and closed out her dominant performance on the day touching the wall at 4:34.52 in the 400 Individual Medley.
  • Eastwood is the first Seahawk to garner NEC honors this season as she claims her second career Swimmer of the Week recognition. As a freshman, the Whangarei, New Zealand native was awarded NEC Rookie of the Week twice while earning NEC Rookie of the Meet at the NEC Championships.
  • Freshman Bree Anderson finished the day with three second-place finishes.
  • In the 1 Meter Diving event for the Seahawks scored a 177.15, finishing in third place.
 
 
Up Next for Wagner…
  • The Seahawks will have time to reset following the ECAC Championships as their next meet isn't until January 15 at the College of Staten Island.
