Washington, DC & Emmitsburg, MD – The Wagner men's water polo team concluded the last day of the regular season with victories over George Washington and Mount St. Mary's after defeating Johns Hopkins on Saturday.

The Seahawks opened the contest outscoring the hosts 3-0. Senior
Vuk Bulajic, sophomore Zsombior Gyémánt, and freshman
Mattia Bognolo found the back of the net in the stanza. Both teams combined for four goals in the second quarter with both teams finding the back of the net twice as the Green & White took a 5-2 advantage heading into the half.
The Seahawks separated themselves from the Colonials in the third quarter when scored three consecutive goals from Zsombor Gyémánt,
Vuk Bulajic, and fifth-year
Jack Leighton. The Seahawks held a 10-4 lead heading into the final eight minutes. Wagner tallied two out of the three goals in the fourth quarter to avenge a loss to George Washington back on October 9 at the Spiro Sports Center.
Vuk Bulajic found the back of the net five times while dishing out two assists, blocking two shots and recording two steals. Junior

Jack Leighton found the back of the net twice as Leighton won two sprints. Senior goalkeeper
Ethan Zirh notched 17 saves in the victory and five goals is tied for the least number of goals let up in a contest this season, Wagner defeated Mercyhurst back on September 19.

In their final regular season contest of the season, the Green & White put a stamp on the contest in the first quarter as they outscored the Mountaineers 7-3.
Jack Leighton,
Mattia Bognolo, and Zsombor Gyémánt found the back of the net twice in the quarter. Wagner carried that momentum in the second quarter as they found the back of the net three times to take a 10-6 lead into the break.
Both sides traded goals in the third quarter, combining to find the back of the net eight times while each team recorded four goals. The final stanza followed suit as Wagner outscored Mount St. Mary's 5-4 in the quarter.
Vuk Bulajic scored one goal while dishing out three assists and recording four streals.
Mattia Bognolo and
Jack Leighton found the back of the net five times, while Bognolo recorded two assists and had three steals. Leighton chipped in with five assists of his own in the victory. Netminder
Ethan Zirh stopped 14 shots in his 16th victory in between the pipes for Wagner.
The Seahawks ended their regular season with a 16-15 overall record and a 6-6 mark in Mid-Atlantic Water Polo (MAWPC) play. Wagner will have the weekend off before traveling to Annapolis, Maryland for the MAWPC Tournament that is set to begin on November 19.
