Claremont & La Verne, California – The Wagner men's water polo team concluded their west coast trip finishing with a 2-2 record.
Wagner (17) vs. Chapman (11)
The Seahawks opened the last day of the Gary Troyer tournament against the Chapman Panthers. The first stanza was a high scoring affair as the Panthers outscored the Seahawks 4-3. The Green & White opened the contest in the second quarter when they outscored Chapman 5-1 in the quarter including the final three goals of the stanza. Sophomore Zsombor Gyemant anchored the Seahawks attack in the quarter when he found the back of the net twice.
Wagner carried their momentum into the third frame when they continued their offensive prowess over Chapman. The Seahawks had five different goal scorers in the third as they outscored the Panthers 5-2 in the quarter bringing the score to 13-7 after three. Both teams found the back of the net four times in the final stanza giving the Seahawks their second straight victory, 17-11.
Senior
Vuk Bulajic contributed two goals and two assists while junior Oliver Fodor found the back of the net four times. Freshman
Kyle Chambers continued the strong beginning to his career on Grymes Hill with a hat trick, Zsombor Gyemant also tallied a hat trick. Junior netminder Ethan ZIrh stopped eight shots in the victory.
Pomona-Pitzer (14) vs. Wagner (13)

The final game of the Seahawks west coast trip came against Pomona-Pitzer. The Seahawks outscored the Sagehens 9-6 in the first half after they outscored Pomona-Pitzer 5-2 in the second quarter. The Green & White attack was fueled by Junior Oliver Fodor who found the back of the net six times in the first half.
The Sagehens outscored the Seahawks 3-2 in the third quarter to crawl back into the contest, the game was 11-9 heading into the fourth quarter. Pomona-Pitzer came out on a mission in the final quarter when they outscored Wagner 5-2 in the frame. The Sagehens claimed the lead for the first time since the first quarter on a goal with 1:10 remaining in the contest and that ended up being the difference for Pomona-Pitzer.
Freshman
Mattia Bognolo found the back of the net three times and dished out one assist while claiming one steal and Junior Oliver Fodor continued his strong season to date with six goals, he leads the Green & White with 71 goals. Fifth-year senior
Jack Leighton scored once and distributed two assists, he also won all four sprints.
Next weekend the Seahawks return to the East Coast and the friendly confines of the Spiro Sports Center, where they will get set to host their first matches of the year. Wagner will welcome Mount St. Mary's at 11:00 A.M. and George Washington 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 9 for MAWPC play.
