Cambridge, MA – The Wagner men's water polo team swept day two at the Harvard Invite, finishing with a 3-1 overall record at the two-day tournament.
The Seahawks defeated MIT 15-8 in the first game of the final day of the tournament and defeated Brown 10-9 in the last game of the event.

Wagner defeated MIT for the second time this season, the first time coming back on September 5 when the Seahawks defeated the Engineers 16-9 for their first victory of the 2021 season.
The first quarter was a seesaw affair that included seven goals, four from the Green & White and three for MIT. Senior
Vuk Bulajic anchored the Seahawks attack in the first quarter with two goals. The second stanza was the antithesis of the first stanza, Wagner outscored MIT 2-1 to take a 6-4 lead into the break.
Wagner put a stamp on the contest in the second half, outscoring MIT 9-4 in the final 16 minutes to pull away from the Engineers.
Junior Oliver Fodor continued his offensive prowess, finding the back of the net five times and drawing seven exclusions. The Budapest, Hungary native has 93 goals in 23 games played this season. Freshman

Ethan Zirh stopped 12 shots in the victory.

The opening stanza of the contest was a back and forth high-scoring affair, the Seahawks took a 4-3 lead into the second quarter. Three goal scorers contributed to the four goals for the Green & White, with Oliver Fodor leading the way with two goals. Shaked Yacoby scored his first goal of the afternoon, Wagner took a 6-5 lead into the half.
The third quarter followed the second to a tee, both teams combined for three goals while the Bears found the back of the net twice. The contest went to the final quarter deadlocked at seven. Junior
Karl Lovett found the back of the net with 100 seconds left to give the Seahawks a 10-9 lead and that goal would hold on to be the difference.

Wagner will make short trips next weekend to the Bronx and Brooklyn, as the Green & White will face off against fellow MAWPC members, Fordham on October 22 and St. Francis Brooklyn on October 23.
