Indianapolis Colts Sign Greg Senat To Practice Squad

Indianapolis, IN - The Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL) have signed former Wagner College two-sport standout Greg Senat to their practice squad.
Senat joins former Seahawk defensive tackle Chris Williams, who is a member of the Colts' 53-man roster.

Most recently, Senat signed a one-year deal with the Cleveland Browns and competed for a roster spot in Cleveland during training camp, but was placed on the injured reserve list and waived by the Browns in September.

Senat briefly spent time on the Browns' practice squad during the 2020 regular season before signing with the Dallas Cowboys, where he appeared in 10 games. Senat won the Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020 year after being drafted by Baltimore in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft and spending his first NFL season with the Ravens.

A four-year member of the Seahawk men's basketball team, Senat went on football scholarship prior to the 2016 season and became a fixture on the Seahawk offensive line, starting all 22 games that he played in during his two-year gridiron career.

In 2016-17, the Long Island native helped the Wagner hoops team to a 16-14 season as a senior before competing solely in football during the 2017 season as a fifth-year senior.

Senat was the first Seahawk to be selected in the NFL draft since Rich Kotite, who was selected in the 18th round of the 1965 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings.

Williams is in his second NFL season as part of the Indianapolis Colts after spending the 2020 season on Indy's practice squad. The former All-NEC performer made his first NFL tackle against the Tennessee Titans earlier this season and saw action on defense in last Monday's defeat at Baltimore.

Apart from Senat and Williams, linebackers Cam Gill and Julian Stanford continue their seasons for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers, respectively.

After being injured for most of training camp and the start of the season, Gill made his season debut for the Buccaneers against the Dolphins last week and played 14 snaps in Thursday night's win over the Eagles.

Longtime NFL veteran Julian Stanford is in his second season with the Carolina Panthers, seeing increased action on defense due to injuries on the Panthers' roster.

As a team, Wagner will take on Bryant at Hameline Field on October 23 following the Seahawks' bye week.
