Albany, NY – Several members of the Wagner men's cross country team competed at the 54th R.K. Munsey Cross Country Invitational, hosted by the University at Albany, on Friday afternoon.
Overall, the Seahawks finished seventh out of the ten competing schools. Cornell (23) claimed the team title. Roberts Wesleyan (49) and Siena (100) rounded out the top-three.
Sophomore
Luke Cunningham was the top finisher for the Green & White, crossing the finish line with a time of 27:53.8. Freshman
Michael Ryan was next, as he turned in a time of 28:13.2 while sophomore
Muhammad Qadri rounded out the top-three performances for Wagner in 28:29.3.
Cornell's Rhys Hammond was the top overall finisher, crossing the finish line in 25:08.8. James Betts and Shane Pease of Roberts Wesleyan placed second and third, respectively.
The five competing Seahawks are slated to rejoin the rest of the team on Friday, October 22, as Wagner is scheduled to compete at the Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) Mini Meet in New Britain, CT at 4:00 p.m. from Stanley Quarter Park.
