Staten Island, NY  –  The Wagner College women's basketball team looks for back-to-back wins to close out its three-game homestand as they welcome the defending Northeast Conference (NEC) champions, the Robert Morris University Colonials on Monday evening.


Wagner All-Time vs. Robert Morris: 
  • All-time, Wagner trails Robert Morris, 36-31, in the head-to-head matchups.
  • In games played on Staten Island, the Seahawks are 16-15 all-time against the Colonials.


Last Time Out For Wagner: 
  • Sophomore forward Emilija Krista Grava and redshirt senior guard Janelle Mullen paced the Wagner women's basketball team past the Saint Francis U Red Flash, 55-50, on Saturday afternoon at the Spiro Sports Center.
  • Krista Grava was one of two Seahawks to finish in double-figures, as she led the way for the Green & White with 18 points on 8 of 16 shooting from the floor in 36 minutes of action.  Mullen also reached double digits, scoring 15 of her 17 points in the second half, nine of those points coming from three-point range. 
  • Freshman guard Alex Cowan chipped in nine points while corralling a team-leading six rebounds in 34 minutes of play. 
  • Karson Swogger and Haley Thomas each finished in double digits for the Red Flash, with Swogger scoring a team-high 16 points while Thomas finished with 14 and a team-best seven rebounds.  
  • Phee Allen, in 35 minutes, scored six points, dished out six assists while grabbing six rebounds. 


About The Robert Morris University Colonials:
  • The Colonials enter play undefeated in league play at 11-0 and are 16-6 overall.
  • The last time that Robert Morris was defeated was back on December 29, when they fell to James Madison, 59-32. 
  • RMU has opened the conference slate with an 11-0 record for the second straight season and can break the program-record for best NEC start with a win over the Seahawks. 
  • Nneka Ezeigbo leads the Colonials in points (14.1 ppg), rebounds (8.4 rpg) and blocks (0.9 bpg). Ezeigbo was held to just one point on 0 of 1 shooting from the floor in 19 minutes of playback on January 11. 
  • Collectively, the Colonials are averaging 66.4 points per game and outscoring their opponents by 11.4 points a contest (55.0 ppg).

  • Down by 13 points at the end of the third quarter, the Wagner women's basketball team battled the defending Northeast Conference (NEC) champions, Robert Morris, to the wire after cutting the Colonials lead to a single possession, 47-45, with 1:21 left in regulation, but the comeback attempt was halted as the Seahawks were edged, 51-47, at the UPMC Events Center, back on January 11.
  • Junior Khaleah Edwards was the lone Seahawk in double figures, as the London, England native tallied 11 points while grabbing five rebounds in 34 minutes of action. 
  • Sophomore forward Emilija Krista Grava netted eight points while freshman guard Alex Cowan added seven points and matched Edwards with a team-high five boards. 
  • Junior guard Alayshia Dailey, who made the two free-throws that brought Wagner to within a single possession of tying the game, finished with six points and four assists. 
  • The Colonials were paced by Irekpitan Ozzy-Momodu, who scored a game-high 13 points on a 4-for-6 performance from the floor and hitting on 5-of-7 from the free-throw line. She added eight rebounds and two blocks in her 20 minutes off-the-bench.  Isabella Posset came within a point of recording a double-double, ending the game with 10 points and nine caroms in 31 minutes of play.  


Home Sweet Home: 
  • Wagner has posted a 7-3 record at the Spiro Sports Center this season and 3-2 in conference games at home. 
  • The Seahawks are averaging 66.2 ppg at home this season, shooting the ball at a 39.7 percent clip from the field while hitting on 35.5 percent from the outside. 
  • The Green & White are outscoring their opponents 662-649 at home this year. 
  • The Green & White holds a 135-117 edge on the offensive glass while both Wagner and their opponents have pulled down 362 total rebounds.
  • Sophomore Emilija Krista Grava and junior Khaleah Edwards led the Seahawk offense inside the Spiro Sports Center, with Krista Grava pouring in 19.3 ppg in nine home games while Edwards is next at 12.4 a contest.
  • Krista Grava currently leads the team on the boards, pulling down 6.9 rpg while Edwards is next at 6.1 rpg. 
  • Edwards has made 23 threes at home this season, converting at 44.2 percent clip.  
  • Freshman Alex Cowan who has added 9.4 ppg in 33.6 minutes per game, has dished out 38 helpers, averaging 3.8 throughout the home slate.

  • Krista Grava, in four Monday contests, is netting 16.3 ppg while grabbing a team-high 6.8 rpg in 31.3 minutes. 
  • The team is averaging 58.0 ppg while converting 36.8 percent from the floor and 34.7 percent from the outside. 
  • The Seahawk defense is holding its opponents to just 54.8 ppg on Mondays while allowing them to convert on just 23.8 percent from the outside.
