Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College men's basketball team will conclude its three-game homestand on Saturday, when the Seahawks host Saint Francis U at the Spiro Sports Center.
Last Time Out
The Seahawks led 33-30 at the midway mark and held a 31-20 rebounding advantage, but Robert Morris came away with a 67-62 victory on Thursday night. The Seahawks held RMU to 40.8% (20-49) shooting from the field and shot 58.5% (24-41) on the offensive end, but the Colonials held a 27-7 advantage in points from turnovers and converted 19-28 free throws.

Coming into the week, junior point guard
Chase Freeman continues to guide the Seahawk offense. Freeman leads the Northeast Conference with an assist/turnover ratio of 2.5 and is third in the league at 35.71 minutes per game.
Cobb Leads The Way
Graduate student
Curtis Cobb III continues to pace the Seahawks in scoring at 17.1 points per game, which was good for fourth in the NEC heading into the week. Cobb has five 20-point performances this season and has scored in double figures in eight straight contests.
Hall of Fame
Wagner College men's basketball great Jermaine Hall '03 has been named to the Northeast Conference (NEC) Hall of Fame, the league announced on Thursday. Hall, who
was inducted into the Wagner Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018, is one of two former student-athletes and one coach to make up the 2019-20 NEC Hall of Fame induction class. Hall, who is in his 17th season playing professionally in Israel, produced one of the most prolific careers in the history of the Wagner men's basketball program from 1999 to 2003. The 2000 NEC Rookie of the Year is Wagner's second all-time leading scorer with 2,278 points, which also ranks fourth on the NEC all-time scoring list.
Scouting The Red Flash
SFU enters the weekend with a 15-8 overall record and 8-4 conference mark, which includes three straight victories over Sacred Heart, Bryant, and Central Connecticut. In the first meeting between the two teams in Loretto, PA earlier this season, the Seahawks held Saint Francis U to 30 points and just 31.4% shooting from the field in the first half, but couldn't hold on to a 38-30 halftime advantage, as the Red Flash pulled away for an 80-62 victory.
