Somerset, NJ – Dylan Walters of the Wagner men's tennis team has been named the Northeast Conference (NEC) Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.

For Walters, this marks the second time in a two-week span that the Johannesburg, South Africa native has garnered the weekly honor, as he collected his first Player of the Week award back on March 26.

The junior Seahawk won all three of his singles matches, as he defeated former All-CAA player, Hofstra's Marcus Smith, 6-3; 6-1 on Wednesday. He went on to edge former MAAC Rookie of the Year, Freddie Zarestsky of Quinnipiac, 4-6; 7-5; 6-0, in another No. 1 flight encounter on Thursday, before recording a 7-6; 6-2 win over Bryant's Artur Jakubowski, a three-time All-NEC honoree at the No. 2 spot on Saturday.

Walters paces the Green & White with 14 victories, including a 9-3 dual match mark and a 6-1 record when playing out of the No. 2 position.

Walters and the rest of the Seahawks will be back in action on Wednesday, April 10, as Wagner travels to West Long Branch, NJ to tangle with Monmouth in a 3:00 p.m start.
