Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College softball team dropped two games to Bryant on Grymes Hill on Sunday, falling 5-0 in game one before dropping a 6-0 decision in game two.
With the two losses, Wagner falls to 10-19 on the year and 1-3 in Northeast Conference (NEC) play, while the Bulldogs improve to 9-25 and 4-1 in league play.

Natalie Del Ponte was hit by a pitch to set the Seahawks up with a great scoring opportunity, but a strikeout and a line-out ended the threat for Wagner.
Del Ponte added a single in the first inning to add to her impressive .396 on base percentage in her first year as a Seahawk.
The Bulldogs scored two runs in the second and three runs in the seventh to earn the victory.
Freshman
Kayla Hooks was charged with the loss in the circle after throwing all seven innings and striking out three batters.

Wagner threatened early in the game and loaded the bases after a single by Del Ponte and back-to-back walks to junior
Kaila Smith and
Amelia Van Orman, but couldn't capitalize on the scoring opportunity.
Sophomore
Alexis Silinonte and junior
Hannah Lewis had one hit apiece for the Seahawks.
The Bulldogs scored six runs on 10 hits, including three runs in the top of the second inning.
Senior
Ciera Luna tossed all seven innings for Wagner and struck out three batters, but was charged with the loss.
Wagner returns to the action on Wednesday, when the Seahawks take on Saint Peter's, starting at 2 pm.
