New York, NY – The Wagner College softball team jumped out to an early 1-0 lead and tied the contest at 2-2 in the second inning on a home run by junior Kaila Smith, but it wasn't enough as the Seahawks dropped a 10-2 decision at Columbia on Wednesday afternoon.

With the single-game loss, Wagner falls to 13-27 on the season, while the Lions of the Ivy League improve to 20-17 this year.

Trailing 2-1 in the top of the second inning, Smith launched her team-leading eighth home run of the season, a solo shot to center field that tied the game at two apiece.

Prihoda, Smith, senior Jessica Carlucci, and Zoe Bender all had hits for Wagner during the contest.
