Staten Island, NY – Junior 
Christina Harkins stepped to the plate with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning and the bases loaded facing a 4-3 deficit and came up clutch, as the Staten Island native hit a walk-off grand slam to left field to give the Wagner College softball team a 7-4 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson in game two of Saturday's Northeast Conference (NEC) doubleheader.
Seahawks dropped game one of the afternoon by a 4-2 margin.
 
With the split, Wagner moves to 14-28 on the year ahead of tomorrow's Senior Day matchup against Central Connecticut.
 
Game 2 Recap: Wagner 7, FDU 4
 
Harkins' grand slam capped a seventh inning rally for the Seahawks that flipped the game upside down.
 
After falling behind 2-0 in the top half of the third, Wagner tied the game on an RBI single by junior 
Hannah Lewis and an RBI fielder's choice by junior 
Kaila Smith.
 
The Knights regained the lead in the fourth inning by scoring two runs, but Smith answered right back in the bottom of the fifth with a towering home run to left field to cut the deficit in half.
 
Down to her last out in the seventh, head coach 
Lindsey Ubrun called on Harkins to pinch hit, who stayed patient at the plate and worked a full count before sending the ball over the left field fence to win the game for the Seahawks.
 
Eight different Seahawks combined for nine hits, as senior 
Karen Prihoda led the way with two hits. As a team, Wagner held a 9-6 advantage in hits.
 
Freshman 
Eve Harvey earned the complete game victory in the circle, striking out three batters in seven innings.

The Seahawks took the early lead, as a sacrifice fly by junior 
Amelia Van Orman brought home Prihoda and opened the scoring in the top of the first inning.
 
In the second, the Green and White added another run, as junior 
Zoe Bender's RBI triple to right field scored sophomore 
Alexis Silinonte to double the Wagner lead.
 
The Knights scored one run in the fifth and three in the top of the sixth to seize control of the game.
 
Senior 
Ciera Luna was charged with the loss after coming on in relief of freshman 
Kayla Hooks.
 
Bender led the way with two hits, while Prihoda, Smith, and freshman 
Natalie Del Ponte also had base hits for the Seahawks.
