Annapolis, MD – The Wagner men's water polo team is set to compete in three games this weekend, travelling between a trio of Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) opponents. The Seahawks will begin competition on Saturday with a doubleheader of road matches, first against the Navy Midshipmen at 11:00 am in Annapolis, MD, followed by a 5:00 pm bout with the No. 19 George Washington Colonials in Washington, D.C. They will wrap up their weekend and their regular season on Sunday afternoon, taking on the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays in Baltimore, MD at 3:00 pm.

The Green & White will be looking to keep their momentum rolling after a 25-10 victory over the La Salle Explorers last Friday in Philadelphia. The Seahawks were led by sophomore Vuk Bulajic and freshmen Olivér Fodor and Ethan Zirh. Bulajic, who tallied seven scores and four steals in the contest earned a spot on the week's MAWPC Honor Roll. He was joined by Fodor, who notched two goals, two assists, and drew four exclusions on the night. Zirh earned MAWPC Defensive Player of the Week honors after stopping seven shots, grabbing one steal, and acting as the backbone of the Seahawk defense.

ABOUT NAVY:
The Midshipmen enter the weekend donning a record of 14-9, having most recently fallen to George Washington on the road 17-14 in OT. Their MAWPC record currently sits at 6-3, placing them in third place behind the Colonials and Bucknell.

This will be the second meeting of the season between the Seahawks and the Midshipmen, with Navy having defeated Wagner 12-10 back on September 21 in Princeton, NJ. All-Time, Wagner leads the series five games to three, however, the Midshipmen have taken the last two matches.

Navy is led by sophomore attacker Isaac Salinas who leads the Midshipmen with 77 goals and 29 steals. Two other swimmers have crossed the 20-goal threshold, Bobby Lee (28) and Trevor Clark (26). In goal, Navy splits time between senior Ronan Williams and sophomore Max Sandberg. Both have appeared in 14 games, while Williams leads the team with a .486 save percentage and Sandberg paces the Midshipmen with 108 saves.

ABOUT NO. 19 GEORGE WASHINGTON:
The Colonials' record currently sits at 18-7 overall, with a 7-2 record in MAWPC play. George Washington's only conference losses so far have come at the hands of No. 15 Bucknell and on the road to Navy. They are currently on a two-game winning streak, having taken revenge on Navy and defeating Johns Hopkins last weekend in Springfield, VA.

The Colonials and Seahawks have met once so far this season, when they toppled the Green & White in the Spiro Sports Center 14-8 on September 28. All-Time the two teams have met nine times, with George Washington leading the series by seven victories to two. The most recent Wagner victory came in the last meeting to take place in Washington, D.C. back on November 4, 2018, when the Seahawks bested the Colonials 18-16.

George Washington is headed by a balanced and prolific attack, led by Andras Levai and his team-best 75 goals and 55 assists. He is accompanied by Andrew Mavis, Jordan Blosser, and Gabriele Simonti who have combined for 135 goals so far on the season. In goal, the Colonials rely on graduate senior Matt Taylor who has stopped 283 shots and added 16 steals in the cage.

ABOUT JOHNS HOPKINS:
Johns Hopkins is coming into the weekend with an overall record of 9-18, having dropped their last two games after claiming the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Championship on October 27 with a 16-12 win over MIT.

The Blue Jays and Seahawks have met once so far this season, with Wagner earning a 20-13 senior day victory in the Spiro Sports Center on September 29. All-Time the two teams have competed eight times, with the Seahawks coming out on top seven times in a row, after dropping the first meeting between the two teams on September 24, 18-10.

Johns Hopkins is led by the offensive duo of Finn Banks and Jayden Kunwar. Banks is pacing the Blue Jays with 56 assists, while he ranks second on the team with 63 goals, behind only Kunwar who has found the back of the cage 83 times. Junior goalie Max Fleming leads the Blue Jays in goal, having started every game, recording 178 saves and a .303 save percentage.
