Loretto, PA –
The Wagner College football team will travel to its last road contest of the season, as the Seahawks take on Saint Francis U on ESPN3 on Saturday at noon. Wagner is coming off a road loss at Sacred Heart, while the Red Flash enters the weekend following an overtime loss to Central Connecticut.

Gill Continues To Make History

With a sack-fumble in the second quarter of the Seahawks' game against Duquesne, senior outside linebacker Cam Gill became the Northeast Conference's All-Time sack leader. Gill then added two sacks, as well as a forced fumble and fumble recovery, in the first quarter of Wagner's game against Central Connecticut.

Playing Both Ways

A rarity in today's game, junior Ahmad Lyons lined up in all three phases of the game in Wagner's loss against Sacred Heart. Lyons recorded three tackles on defense, two kickoff returns on special teams, and four carries on offense.

Graham Reaches Milestone

In Wagner's loss to Sacred Heart, graduate student linebacker led the Seahawks with 10 tackles and recorded the 300th tackle of his career. The three-year captain ranks among the top-10 all-time in tackles and currently has 76 stops on the year.

The Series

The Seahawks hold a 22-6 edge in the all-time series which dates back to 1992. Wagner has won eight of the last 11 meetings including seven straight between 2008 and 2014. In 2016, the Seahawks were the only team to defeat eventual NEC Champion SFU. Last season, Senior wide receiver D'Erren Wilson tossed an 18-yard touchdown pass to senior tight end Chris Woodard with six seconds left to play to complete a nine-play, 65-yard drive, lifting Wagner to a remarkably improbable and exhilarating 23-22 comeback victory over Saint Francis U in a game that the Seahawks led most of the way.

Scouting The Red Flash

Saint Francis U comes into Saturday's matchup with a 4-6 overall record and 2-4 conference mark. The Red Flash have lost three games in overtime this year, all of which came against NEC competition (Robert Morris, Sacred Heart, Central Connecticut), including last week's 38-31 loss at CCSU.

Next Up For Wagner

The Seahawks conclude the 2019 season with a home contest against Bryant on November 23. Prior to kickoff, Wagner will honor its senior class.
