Coming off a breakout season in 2017, Chris Woodard is one of the NEC’s top tight ends and is looking for even bigger and better things as a senior in 2018.
2017: Saw action in 10 games with seven starts … Earned Second-Team All-NEC honors … Team’s No. 1 tight end fourth overall receiver with 22 catches for 210 yards and one touchdown … Snared a career-high five receptions for 39 yards in the Homecoming win over Lehigh (9/30) … Had three catches in four other games – vs. Columbia (9/16), Western Michigan (9/23), Duquesne (10/7) and at No. 12 Stony Brook (11/11) … Woodard had at least one reception in nine of 11 games and three or more catches in five different games … A physics major with a 3.816 GPA, named to the Academic All-District First Team for District 1 as selected to the

2016: Saw action in all 11 games … Caught six passes for 92 yards with long of 25 yards … Snared first two receptions of his career vs. Columbia (10/8), on catches of 15 and 5 yards … Career-long 25-yard catch at Central Connecticut (10/15) … Capped the season with a pair of 20-yard grabs in the win over NEC champion Saint Francis U (11/19) … Member of 2016 NEC Fall Academic Commissioner’s Honor Roll, a select list of student-athletes who attained a 3.75 GPA or better … Physics Major.
2015: Did not see any varsity action ... Member of 2015 NEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.
Before Wagner: Talented and versatile athlete who excelled in football and basketball ... Passed for 2,620 yards and 17 TDs at quarterback during his career ... Rushed for 2,604 career yards, including 1,365 yards and 21 touchdowns in his senior season ... Accumulated 38 tackles and two interceptions while starring in the Lumberjack secondary.
