New Rochelle, NY – After only posting four first half goals, the Wagner men's water polo fell to the Iona Gaels by the score of 16-12.
Iona 16, Wagner 12
The Gaels stormed out of the gates to begin the match and found the back of the net only 22 seconds into the game, before taking an eventual 3-0 lead. Wagner would answer with two goals in the period, from
Matthew Miller and
Olivér Fodor, but Iona would notch two more scores, ending the period leading 5-2.
The second stanza was more tightly contested, but Wagner still only managed to find the back of the net twice in the period, compliments of Miller's second of the day and freshman
