Princeton, NJ – The Wagner men's water polo team concluded day one of the two-day Princeton Invite with a 1-1 mark, falling to No. 1 UCLA 21-6 before posting a come-from-behind-victory over St. Francis Brooklyn 9-8.
UCLA 21, Wagner 6:
The top-ranked Bruins led the Green & White from start to finish, beginning with a 4-1 lead at the end of the first eight minutes of play. Sophomore driver
Jasmin Kolasinac was the first Seahawk to put a tally on the scoreboard.
UCLA reeled off six more goals in the second period, while freshman utility
Vuk Bulajic tallied the second Green & White goal as the Bruins took a 10-2 lead entering into the second half and final sixteen minutes of play.
The third period was highlighted by three more goals by Kolasinac, but the Bruins answered with four more scores of their own to extend their lead to 14-5.
During the fourth and final quarter, junior driver
Oscar Nomura tallied one goal while UCLA was able to find the back of the net seven more times to defeat the Seahawks by a count of 21-6.

Teo Dadic broke a program record during the comeback win in notching his 56th career assist, shattering a mark previously set by
Ciaran Wolohan (55). The Terriers began the game with a 4-1 lead, as Nomura registered the first goal for the Green & White.
In the second period, Wagner cut the St. Francis lead to one on goals by Nomura (2) and Kolasinac (1) and junior utility
Lachlan Trabinger (1).
During the second half, the Seahawks were able to take their first lead, powered by two more goals from Nomura and another one from Trabinger.
The fourth period included Nomura's fifth goal of the game as well as senior driver
Cole Grady's first goal of the game to keep the lead and secure the victory for the Seahawks with a final count of 10-9.
The Seahawks return to the Princeton Invite tomorrow, September 8 for one final contest with the Brown University Bears at 8:00 p.m.
