Princeton, NJ – The Wagner men's water polo team is set to compete in its second tournament of the 2018 season, as the Seahawks participate at the Princeton Invite September 7-8. The Green & White will face three tough opponents in No. 1 UCLA on Friday, September 7 at 1:30 p.m. before challenging St. Francis Brooklyn at 6:30 p.m. Wagner will conclude the tournament on Saturday, September 8 with an evening game against No. 17 Brown at 8:00 p.m.

The Green & White, who have received votes in this week's CWPA Top-20 Poll, went 1-2 last weekend with its first win of 2018 coming against Salem International with a final score of 26-9. Wagner will look to improve upon its record this weekend with a blend of proven returners along with a duo of newcomers who contributed right off the bat in their first weekend wearing Seahawk caps. Senior goalie Cameron Woldt and senior utility Devin O'Donnell will solidify the Wagner defense while sophomore driver Jasmin Kolasinac will look to continue racking up goals on the offensive end. Junior utility Lachlan Trabinger,a first-year transfer student, and freshman utility Vuk Bulajic, immediatly made their presence felt on opening weekend, contributing a combined 16 points.

Scouting No. 1 UCLA:
The Bruins enter weekend play with a perfect 3-0 record after defeating Fresno-Pacific, Whittier College (No. 4 in DIII Polls), and No. 17 Pomona-Pitzer at their home tournament on Labor Day weekend. UCLA returns four starters and two All-Americans for the 2018 campaign, including redshirt junior goalkeeper and 2017 NCAA Championship MVP Alex Wolf as well as the Bruins' leading scorer (45 goals) from a year ago, sophomore Nicolas Saveljic. In 2017, Both Wolf and Saveljic were named second team All-Americans.

Previewing St. Francis Brooklyn:
The crosstown rival Terriers have an 0-4 record on the year thus far, falling to some top opponents including No. 8 Pepperdine, No. 5 Pacific, No. 20 Bucknell, and No. 7 UC Davis. SFC has added depth to its roster for the 2018 season, with 14 returners and six newcomers to lengthen the squad. Head coach Bora Dimitrov, 2017 Northeast Water Polo Conference Coach of the Year, returns for his second season at the helm for the Terriers.

A Closer Look at No. 17 Brown:
The Bears sport a 2-3 record after the first weekend of competition, boasting an overtime victory over No. 8 Pepperdine. A pair of Bears in Junior James Thygesen and Sophomore Riad Hallal are the reigning Northeast Water Polo Conference Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week. Thygesen posted 10 points on five goals and five assists while Hallal registered 18 saves for Brown.
