- Wagner had three members participate in the A Singles bracket of the Hofstra Pride Invitational in graduate Lucas Gonzalez, senior Anatoliy Lashkul and junior Dylan Walters.
- All three advanced out of the Round of 16 as Gonzalez bested Adelphi's Pietro Sole, 8-3, while Lashkul earned an 8-6 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson's Nicolas Pietsch and Walters claimed an 8-3 victory over Fernando Ramirez of Queens College.
- Lashkul and Walters both moved on to the semifinals after Lashkul defeated Queens College's Cosme Jubera, 8-2, while Walters secured an 8-3 triumph over FDU's Mehdi Dhouib.
- Gonzalez was bested by Sacred Heart's William Wibmer, 9-7.
- Both Seahawks were able to pick up semifinals victories, setting up an all-Wagner final. Lashkul defeated Wibmer, 6-1, 6-3 while Walters outlasted Hofstra's Marcus Smith, 3-6, 6-3, 10-2.
- In the finals, the senior Lashkul claimed the Seahawks first title of the tournament, defeating his fellow teammate Walters, 6-4, 6-1.
A Doubles
- In the A doubles portion of the invitational, second-year head coach Shem Filipek used his top two doubles pairings in, Lashkul and senior Dale Sandy, who were tabbed to the All-Northeast Conference (NEC) First Team doubles a season ago, as well as senior Eric Poland and junior Dylan Walters, who were tabbed to the Second Team doubles last year.
- Lashkul and Sandy earned a first-round bye while Poland/Walters got past the pairing of Riley Smith and Matthew Reinhold of Oneonta, 6-0.
- In the quarterfinals, Poland/Walters defeated Cosme Jubera/Richard Sec of Queens College, 6-2, while Lashkul/Sandy bested FDU's Maciej Autuch/Eduardo Cabral, 6-0.
- Poland/Walters were bested by Sacred Heart's duo of Lucca Casalduc/William Wibmer while Lashkul/Sandy defeated Hofstra's Jan Leithner/Marcus Smith by a similar 6-3 count.
- In the finals, Casalduc/Wibmer edged out Lashkul/Sandy, 6-4, to claim the doubles title.
B Singles
- The Green & White had two representatives in the B Singles bracket in senior Eric Poland and junior Hans Ohrner.
- Both advanced out of the Round of 16 as Poland defeated FDU's Ryu Kozuki, 8-3, while Ohrner edged Queens College's, Kareem Rashad, 8-6.
- Poland was bested by Queens College's, Richard Sec, 8-1, while Ohrner was able to get past FDU's Maciej Autuch, 8-6.
- The third-year Seahawk Ohrner was able to carry that momentum into his semifinal contest against Sacred Heart's, Lucca Casalduc, in earning a 6-4, 6-1 triumph to advance to the finals.
- In the finals, Ohrner claimed Wagner's second title of the two-day invitational, defeating Sec, 6-0, 7-5.
B Doubles
- Juniors Siddharth Anand and Hans Ohrner, along with graduate Lucas Gonzalez and senior Ilya Kneppelhout, competed in the B Doubles bracket of the invitational.
- Both Seahawk pairings advanced out of the Round of 16 as Anand/Ohrner defeated Queens College's Stan Bedrune and Jose Zurro, 7-6 (5) while Gonzalez/Kneppelhout edged out a victory over Adelphi's pairing of Ilya Kalabukahau/Luke Attride-Stirling, 7-6 (8).
- Anand/Ohrner were defeated in the quarterfinals by FDU's Moric Budinszky/Ivan Solans Diaz, 6-1, while Gonzalez/Kneppelhout moved on with a 6-1 triumph of FDU's Mehdi Dhouib/Ryu Kozuki.
- Hofstra's Coco Haener & Shawn Jackson just got past Gonzalez/Kneppelhout, 7-6, in the semifinals before ultimately defeating Siena's Sagar Bains/Alex Giannaktisidis, 6-2.
C Singles
- Seniors Ilya Kneppelhout and Dale Sandy competed for Wagner in the C Singles bracket.
- Both advanced out of the Round of 16 with Kneppelhout blanking SUNY Oneonta's, Ben Cohen, 8-0, while Sandy eked out a 9-8 (3) win over Adelphi's David Robres De Veciana.
- Sandy was defeated in the quarterfinal round, 9-7, by Queens College's Jose Zurro while Kneppelhout got past the QC's Hugo Evangelista, 8-2, to advance to the semifinals.
- In a back-and-forth first set, Kneppelhout dropped the first set to Hofstra's Giacomo Pezzoli, 7-6 (2) before falling in the second set, 6-2.
D Singles
- Junior Siddharth Anand was the lone Seahawk representative in the D Singles bracket.
- The third-year Seahawk captured the D Singles crown after picking up a Round of 16 victory, 8-2, over Oneonta's Jacob Goldstein.
- Anand got past Sacred Heart's Tyler Lowe, 8-5, before defeating Queens College's Nicholas Volos, 6-3, 6-3, to reach the final match.
- In the finals, he was pitted against Hofstra's Ryan Hardin, and was able to claim the third individual title of the weekend, with a 6-1, 6-3 victory.
Select members of the men's tennis team will represent Wagner at the 2018 ITA Northeast Regional Championship, which will be contested on the campus of Princeton University, beginning on October 11 and running through October 16.
