Lincroft, NJ -The Wagner men's cross country team competed in the 24
th annual Henry Mercer Invitational hosted by Monmouth University, and finished second overall.

Host Institution Monmouth earned first place honors with a total time of 2:16:14 while the Seahawks finished second, clocking in a total time of 2:20:29. St Francis Brooklyn rounded out the top three finishing with a total time of 2:28:44.

Competing in his first competition since earning North East Conference Co-Rookie of the Week Honors,
Trausti Thorsteins picked up right where he left off. Thorsteins turned in another top-10 finish, earning fifth place with a time of 27:11.4.

Jonathan Besselink finished right behind Thorstein, in sixth place, clocking in a time of 27:15.1.

Rovert Guidicipietro and
Nick Velez finished among the top-15, clocking in times of 28:27.2, and 28:29.0, respectively, while Chistopher Hernandez and
Matthew Whalen finished among the to-20 with times of 28:57.5 and 29:02.6.

The Seahawks will be back in action on October 6
th, when they travel to Newark, NJ to compete in the Highlander XC Challenge hosted by NJIT.
