Brooklyn, NY –
The Wagner women's lacrosse team, which shares first place in the Northeast Conference (NEC) standings, looks to continue its winning ways with a contest at LIU Brooklyn on Friday, April 20 with opening draw set for 7:00 p.m.

Last time out, senior attack Heidi Colford tossed in a career-high six goals and dished out two assists in a thrilling 12-11 comeback win over Mount St. Mary's (4/14), a performance that earned her Northeast Conference (NEC) Co-Women's Player of the Week honors, marking the seventh time this season that a Seahawk has copped a weekly honor from the league.

Led by Colford, a hard-shooting lefty who ranks No. 5 nationally with a 62 percent shooting percentage (24-of-30), the Seahawks are 8-4 overall, 3-0 in the NEC and winners of four straight games.

Within the game's first 11 minutes of the game vs. the Mount, the Eden Praire, MN native was already halfway to her double hat trick as her three early goals helped stake the Seahawks to a 5-0 lead. The Mount fought back and eventually opened a second-half lead before Colford struck for three straight goals as the Seahawks overcame a three-goal deficit in notching the win.

Junior attack Anna Belle Reilly leads Wagner in scoring with 36 points (15 goals, team-high 21 assists), followed by senior midfielder Lauren Ednie's 34 points (31g, 3a), while Colford checks in third with 30 points (24g, 6a).

Freshman midfielder Ally Alliegro and three-time NEC Rookie of the Week, Ally Alliegro, paces the Seahawks in draw controls, while junior defender Maggie Courtney is the team-leader in both groundballs (36) and caused turnovers (18). Senior goalie Lucy Darlington, who has started all 12 games and splits time with classmate Kelsey Fee, ranks No. 15 nationally with in save percentage (51%).
