No. 18 Women's Water Polo Enters Final Weekend Of Regular Season

Philadelphia, PA– The No. 18 Wagner women's water polo team travels to Philadelphia, PA for its fourth and final weekend of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) regular season play as the Seahawks are scheduled to play Villanova at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, before taking on Iona at 6:00 p.m. On Sunday, the Green & White will square off against No. 24 Marist at 10:30 a.m. before facing St. Francis Brooklyn at 3:00 p.m.

Reining MAAC Offensive Player of the Week Erica Hardy aided the Green & White in securing three victories this past weekend.  Hardy, who ranks third in NCAA Division I with 50 assists, just two behind teammate Kristy Donkin's 52, earned Player of the Week honors for the first time this season and second time in her career. The Montreal native recorded 10 goals and five assists, combining for 15 points on the weekend, in addition to recording seven steals. 

Freshman utility Daisy Nankervis found the back of the net eight times, while dishing out nine assists in the three games over the weekend. The Sydney, Australia native also grabbed six steals while contributing 17 points.

About Villanova:
The Wildcats remain in fifth place in the league standings as they are 5-5 in conference play and 7-14 overall. Kate Murray has a won 10 out of her 17 sprints thus far and holds a .588 sprint winning percentage, ranking sixth in the MAAC.

About Iona:
The Gaels have proclaimed sole possession of third place in the conference with a 6-4 record in league play. Iona is led by Hannah Schultz offensively, who has tallied 81 goals this season, just three goals shy of Wagner's Kimberly Watson who has 84 thus far.

About Marist:
The Red Foxes sit right behind the Seahawks in second place with a 10-1 MAAC record and their only loss coming from Wagner. Katherine Tijerina ranks fourth in the league with 35 assists in her junior campaign.

About St. Francis Brooklyn:
SFBK is 1-10 in conference play with their sole win coming against La Salle. The Terriers are led by Kelsey Snelgar who is tied for first in the MAAC with 92 goals.
