Women’s Lacrosse Looks To Extend Three-Game Winning Streak On Sunday At UMass Lowell

The Wagner women's lacrosse team, winners of three straight, will look to extend that streak on Sunday, March 11 when the Seahawks travel to UMass Lowell to meet the River Hawks with opening draw set for 1:00 p.m.
 
The Green & White, who are coming off a 10-9 overtime victory over Stetson on Thursday. With the, the Seahawks improved to 3-2 on the season while UMass Lowell enters Sunday's contest with an 0-4 mark.
 
The Seahawks and River Hawks have played one common opponent in Iona, with both dropping one-goal decisions to the Gaels in New Rochelle, NY. In the season opener back on February 14, Iona edged Wagner, 11-10, while the Gaels earned a 7-6 overtime win over UMass Lowell on March 8.
 
Reigning Northeast Conference (NEC) Rookie of the week Ally Alliegro sank four goals, including the game-winner at 1:05 into overtime, to spearhead the Seahawk win over Stetson.
 
Alliegro's four-goal effort came on the heels of a career-high five-goal game in last Saturday's 15-11 victory over Lehigh. The Bayport, NY native leads Wagner in goals with 12, and along with three assists, and is the Seahawks' team-leader in points with 16.

Following Sunday's contest at UMass Lowell, the Green & White are back in action on Saturday, March 17 when they travel to Riverdale. NY for a 1:00 p.m. tilt with the Jaspers.
