Women’s Lacrosse To Host Columbia In 6:00 PM Tilt On Wednesday

Staten Island, NY - The Wagner women's lacrosse team will host Columbia on Wednesday, March 28, with opening draw at Hameline Field set for 6:00 p.m., in its final non-conference test of the season before the ever-important, seven-game Northeast Conference (NEC) schedule kicks off on Friday, April 4 at Robert Morris.
 
The Seahawks, who are coming off a tough 11-10 overtime home loss to Saint Joseph's (SJU) on Saturday, enter Wednesday's play with a 4-4 record while their counterparts from the Ivy League are 4-6.
 
Wagner features freshman midfielder Ally Alliegro, who picked up her third NEC Rookie of the Week honor on Monday following her four-point (3g, 1a) effort vs. SJU. On the season, the Bayport, NY products leads the team in points with 24 (17g, 7a) as well as draw controls with 26.
 
Senior midfielder Lauren Ednie, who was named an #NECPrimerPerformer after recording a hat trick vs. SJU,  an NEC second-team selection last season, is tied second on the team in scoring with 20 points, all of which have come on a team-best 20p goals. The Garden State native also ranks second on the team in ground balls (22) and third in caused turnovers (12).
 
Tied with Ednie for the second-highest point total is junior attack Anna Belle Reilly, another 2017 Second-Team All-NEC selection, whose 20 points have come on eight goals and a team-high 12 assists
 
Joining Ednie in earning #NECPrimePerformer honors for her play vs. Saint Joe's was sophomore Lindsay Haas, who came up with four caused turnovers and three groundballs vs. the Hawks.
 
Splitting time in goal this season for the Seahawks has been the senior tandem of Lucy Darlington and Kelsey Fee. Darlington, who has logged 354:09 in goal while gaining the start in all eight games, has 9.49 goals against average and .491 save percentage. Fee, who has played 132:41 in five game off the bench, has a 9.04 goals against average and a save percentage of .429.
