Fresh off a
convincing 11-6 victory at Manhattan last Saturday, the Seahawks are led by freshman midfielder
Ally Alliegro, a two-time Northeast Conference (NEC) Rookie of the Week. On the season, the Bayport, NY products leads the team in points with 20 (14g, 6a) as well as draw controls with 25.
Junior attack
Anna Belle Reilly, a 2017 Second-Team All-NEC selection, tallied six points on three goals and three assists in the win over Manhattan, to move into second on the team in scoring with 19 points (8g, team-high 11a). For her efforts vs. the Jaspers, Reilly was named a #NECPrimerPerformer of the Week.
Junior
Lauren Ednie, another NEC second-team choice last season, is third in scoring with 17 points (team-high 17 goals, 0a), and is second on the team in ground balls (16) and caused turnovers (10).
Leading the way on the defensive end has been junior Maddie Courtney, who paces the Seahawks in both ground balls (24), with her 3.43 GBs per game ranking 18th nationally, and caused turnovers (11).
Senior
Lucy Darlington, the starter in all seven games this season, has been stout in goal, boasting a .485 save percentage and a goals against average of 9.44, which ranks 17th nationally, in 324:09 minutes between the pipes, while classmate
Kelsey Fee has nine saves in 96:56 minutes in goal.
As a team, the Seahawks rank seventh in the nation in ground balls per game (23.00), and 13th nationally in scoring defense (9.29).
The Green & White close out their mini two-game home stretch, vs. Columbia (3/28), before beginning NEC play at Robert Morris (4/6).
