Newark, NJ – The Wagner men's tennis team was blanked by Atlantic Sun member, NJIT, 7-0, on Tuesday night at the Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
Despite the setback, the Seahawks managed to earn a doubles victory at No. 2 play as the pairing of junior
Eric Poland and sophomore
Dylan Walters edged the Highlanders' duo of Richard Rangga and Lukas Zvikas, 7-5.
With the victory, Poland and Walters earned their seventh victory as a team this season, while improving to 4-3 at No. 2 doubles action.
NJIT secured a 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles before Tomi Antoljak/Zac Castagna edged the Green & White combo of junior
Ilya Kneppelhout and senior
Charlton Boyd, 7-6 (7-5).
Wagner will be in action on Saturday, March 24 as they resume Northeast Conference (NEC) play on the road as they take on St. Francis Brooklyn at 1:00 p.m.
