2017-18 Senior Season

Finished the year a team-best 27-3… Became the first Seahawk in men’s tennis program history to notch 20 or more single victories in a single-season… Now holds three of the top five single-season win totals in program history (18 in 2015 & 16 in 2016 and 27 in 2018)… Became the second Seahawk in program history to be ranked by the Oracle/International Tennis Association (ITA) when, on November 17, he was the 104th-ranked tennis player in the nation… Finished his career with a program-record 75 singles victories… Accumulated 51 of his 75 wins out of the No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 positions, respectively, amassing a combined 51-15 record out of those three spots, while racking up 65 career wins in doubles play… Recorded his program-record 75th singles victory on April 21 in the 2018 Northeast Conference (NEC) semifinals against Saint Francis U’s Eduardo Garcia, besting him 6-1; 6-0… Garnered his second Google Cloud Academic All-District At-Large Team selection, chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)… Prior to the May 11 Wagner Commencement, garnered three awards, earning the 2018 Dr. Donald W. Spiro Award for Outstanding Academic & Co-Curricular Achievements, presented to the most outstanding graduating senior for overall excellence… Collected the 2018 Phyllis Andors Awards, in recognition for outstanding performance in Government & Politics… Earned the 2018 Barna Csuros Memorial Award, presented to an accomplished student pursuing law… Will attend the prestigious George Washington University Law School, where he will study Constitutional Law.

2016-17 Junior Season

Finished the year with a 14-6 overall record with the 14 wins ranking third on the team this season… One of five Seahawks to post double-figure singles wins (Lashkul, Ohrner, Poland, Sandy)… Went 10-3 in dual matches (tied for No. 3 on the squad)… Went 3-1 in NEC play… Finished with an 8-3 mark out of the No. 6 position… Posted a 20-8 doubles record…Went 16-3 in dual matches and 5-2 in conference tilts… Went 9-3 in No. 3 doubles, primarily paired with teammate Ilya Kneppelhout, as this duo went 18-4 on the season… Recorded his 40th career singles win back on September 17 when he defeated Hofstra’s Guilherme Ferneda, 6-3, 6-0… Secured his 50th career doubles victory on April 22 in the semifinals of the 2017 NEC Tournament against the Saint Francis U pair of Arturo Dell’Eva and Franz Luna, winning 6-3 with Kneppelhout…Became first-ever Wagner men’s tennis team member to earn NEC Scholar-Athlete Award. 

2015-16 Sophomore Season

Recorded a team-best 16-6 singles record, playing primarily at No. 4...Went 11-3 in No. 4 singles action and notched a 5-2 record in conference matches... Posted a combined 17-7 in doubles play, 14-7 playing primarily with Ilya Kneppelhout at No. 2...helped the men's team to its second straight Northeast Conference (NEC) semifinal appearance....Earned his 30th career victory back on April 10 when he defeated Sacred Heart's Karan Narula, 6-1; 6-3... Two-time Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Month, won his first six dual matches of the season and capped off his sophomore campaign by winning four of his last five decisions... He, along with Ilya Kneppelhout, claimed the Doubles C crown of the 2015 Hofstra Men's Invitational, defeating teammates Allen Wang and Jakob Mostyn-Kolb, 6-3... Named to the 2015-16 NEC All-Second Team Team... 2015-16 NEC Spring Academic Honor Roll selection... 2015-16 NEC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll selection... Nominated for the 2015-16 NEC Male Student-Athlete of the Year... Voted to the 2016 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District I Men's At-Large First Team, joining nine student-athletes from the district while being the lone representative from a tennis program.

2014-15 Freshman Season

Playing primarily out of the No. 5 spot, finished the year with 18 wins, tying for the team lead with Michal Rolski… Posted a 4-2 mark in league play… Finished second in the ‘B” Flight singles and second with teammate Sam Flaxman in the ‘B’ Flight doubles completion at the two-day 2014 Hofstra Invitational (9/19-9/20)… Named to the NEC Academic and Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Selected as one of two Seahawks to garner ITA All-Academic Honors (along with Rolski).

Before Wagner: Played his prep tennis at Loyola College Prep under the direction of Mike Mawhinney … Helped the Flyers to the Louisiana High School Athlete Association (LHSAA) 3A State Championship in each of his first three seasons … As a junior in 2012-2013, captured the LHSAA 3A State Singles Championship after combining to win the doubles title as a freshman in 2010-2011 … Also was an All-State selection in each of those two seasons and is the only player in school history to win both the singles and doubles state championship … Four-time All-City selection … Three-time Louisiana USTA Qualifying Doubles State Champion (2006, 2008, 2011) ... 2007 Zonals National Champions & 2010 Zonals Runner-up ... Represented Louisiana in the Southern Cup in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2013 while ranking among the top-three in his respective age group each season ... 2-star recruit while holding a Tennis Recruiting Network rank of 409 ... Is an Eagle Scout and started his own service organization to distribute books to underprivileged children in the Shreveport community … Was the Prudential Spirit of Community Award Winner at the State and National Level … One of 10 honorees for the National Award to be recognized by Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce headquarters in 2010 Graduated with a 3.92 GPA and was the recipient of the Loyola Community Service (748 volunteer hours) … Also was a member of the National Honor Society and won the AXA Achievement Award … Born on December 25, 1995 … Has two siblings: Carter and Lucia … Is majoring in Government & Politics at Wagner.
