Stephanie Falcone recorded two points, with one goal and one assist. Finishing with one goal apiece vs. the Gaels were sophomore midfielder
Meghan Pendergast, a transfer from George Mason who was seeing her first action as a Seahawk, as well as senior midfielder and 2017 All-NEC Second-Team selection,
Lauren Ednie. Junior attack and co-captain
Anna Belle Reilly another All-NEC Second-Team choice a year ago, added one assist for the visitors.
In goal, Wagner's other co-captain, senior
Lucy Darlington, came up with seven saves. Freshman midfielder
Ally Alliegro paced the Seahawks in draw controls with six, while Ednie added five. Ednie also tied Kerstetter for team-high honors with three ground balls.
Hofstra, which opened its season with a 13-1 victory over Bucknell on February 17, earned a 14-10 home win over Wagner in last season's meeting in Hempstead, NY on February 21, 2017.
Following Tuesday's matchup with Hofstra, the Seahawks will now play host to a pair of teams that hail from Pennsylvania, in Bucknell on February 24 and Lehigh on March 3. Wagner will conclude the four-game home stretch when Stetson makes the long trip from DeLand, FL on March 7.
