Washington, D.C. - The Wagner men's water polo team (16-13; 8-4 MAWPC) concluded regular season play with an 18-16 win over George Washington on Sunday afternoon, snapping the Colonials four game win streak.
The match up was even throughout, beginning with four goals from both teams to finish the first period. Freshman utility
Vuk Bulajic fired first, followed by two from sophomore driver
Jasmin Kolasinac and one from sophomore lefty
Jack Leighton.
The Green & White held a 10-9 advantage at half time with the help of six Seahawk goals from senior utility
Devin O'Donnell (1), Leighton (2), Kolasinac (1) and Bulajic (2).
To open the third stanza, O'Donnell found the back of the net for his second tally as junior driver
Oscar Nomura struck with his first tally.
The Colonials were able to score another goal before Nomura dished a pass to O'Donnell who then found the back of the net for his third goal of the game.
Kolasinac registered three more goals to give the Seahawks a 16-13 lead heading into the final eight minutes of play. The Belgrade, Serbia native took over the game offensively, notching his seventh goal for a 17-14 Wagner lead to kick off the final stanza.
George Washington answered with back to back goals to cut the lead to one before senior driver
Teo Dadic registered his first tally, and the final goal for the Green & White as they emerged victorious over the Colonials with a final score of 18-16.

Cameron Woldt made 11 saves in the win, helping the Seahawks hand GW its first loss at home in the 2018 campaign.
Wagner is back in action on November 16-18 when they compete in the Bronx, NY at the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Championships.
