Smithfield, RI – The Wagner College swimming and diving team faced Northeast Conference (NEC) rivals Bryant and Central Connecticut at the Bryant Tri-Meet on Friday and Saturday.
The Seahawks' 400 Free Relay team earned a first-place finish, as junior
Makenna Depuydt, freshman
Mary Tsianaka, along with seniors
Andrea Gustafsson and
Dorian McMenemy touched the wall in 3:35.21.
The same quartet also placed second in the 200 Free Relay in 1:39.07, while the 200 Medley Relay, consisting of juniors
Emily Moore and
Jenna D'Allegro, Gustafsson, and McMenemy finished second in 1:50.55.
Depuydt continued her strong weekend with a first-place finish in the 1000 Free in 10:49.45, in addition to second-place finishes in the 200 Free (1:56.94) and 500 Free (5:18.30).
On the diving board, senior
Adrianna Warning took first on the 1-meter board with 238.90 points, while placing second in the 3-meter competition with 239.70 points.
McMenemy touched second in the 50 Free (24.63), while Tsianaka touched second in the 100 Free (54.73).
Rounding out the Seahawks' top finishes were junior
Kelli Boston, who touched second in the 200 Fly (2:12.21) and sophomore
Hande Kivanc, who placed second in the 200 Back in 2:06.96.
The Seahawks will be back next Saturday, November 10, as they travel to Siena for a non-conference dual meet.
