Wagner vs. Yale Highlights
Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College women's basketball team dropped a 74-41 decision to the Yale University Bulldogs, 74-41, at the Spiro Sports Center on Tuesday evening.
The Seahawks, who have now dropped four straight, fall to 1-6 on the season while the Bulldogs improve to 4-3. The Green & White could not establish a steady offensive flow in the contest, being held to under 30.0 percent from the field and under 25.0 percent from three-point range.

Jordan Hobson led Wagner with nine points apiece, with Hobson going 3-of-4 from three-point distance. Sophomore guard
Alayshia Dailey chipped in with seven points while converting on 3-of-5 from the floor in 15 minutes of action.

Nakylia Carter and freshman guard
Amanda Pollard concluded the contest with five points each while Carter led the way for the Seahawks on the glass, pulling down a team-best eight caroms while also dishing out a team-high four assists and collecting three steals.
Yale had three players finish in double figures, led by Roxy Barahman's game-high 22-point effort. Barahman came within one rebound of a double-double, finishing with nine boards while dishing out a team-high five helpers.
Camilla Emsbo added 17 points to go along with three blocks in her 35 minutes of play. Alex Cade contributed 16 off the bench while grabbing six rebounds in the Bulldog victory. Megan Gorman corralled a game-best 11 caroms for the visitors.
Wagner got its first four points thanks to a pair of layups from Dailey before Yale answered with an 8-0 run over the next 2:23 to take a 10-4 lead.
The Bulldogs went 4-of-6 during this spurt. Mullen put a stop to the run with a baseline jumper to cut the Yale lead to 10-6 with 3:05 left in the first quarter. The visitors closed out the first stanza a perfect 3-of-3 from the floor en route to their second 8-0 run of the quarter as they lead 18-6 after one.
Wagner opened the second quarter with a 6-2 run of its own, which cut the lead down to 20-12 after Carter drained a three-pointer off a feed from
Khaleah Edwards. It would be the closest the Seahawks would get in the ballgame, as Yale ended the first half leading 38-19, capped by an 18-7 run, in which the visitors connected on 8-of-13 from the field and limited the Seahawk offense to just two made field goals.
Hobson sparked the Wagner offense for much of the remainder of the third quarter, igniting a 9-2 run of her own over a 2:13 minute stretch as she connected on her first of three trifectas in the game.
In the fourth quarter,, the Seahawks forced a pair of Yale turnovers, leading to two straight fast break buckets.
Yale put the final touches on, outscoring Wagner, 12-9, in picking up its fourth victory of the season.
Wagner will close the first month of the season with a short trip to Jersey City, NJ as the Seahawks will square off against the Saint Peter's University Peacocks, of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Tipoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. at the Yanitelli Center.
