Bridgeport, PA – Junior utility
Lachlan Trabinger was named Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Rookie of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
This is Trabinger's first time earning the award after a solid performance this past weekend at the Spiro Sports Center. The junior transfer from Golden West College helped the Green & White to two victories against two league opponents in Johns Hopkins (17-7) and La Salle (21-10).
The Canberra, Australia native scored two goals, drew eight exclusions and registered two blocks. Trabinger has tallied 28 goals and 12 assists, combining for 40 points on the 2018 campaign. He ranks second on the team in drawn exclusions with 66 behind teammate sophomore driver
Jasmin Kolasinac (88). The first year Seahawk has grabbed 25 steals and notched 16 blocks thus far.
Wagner is back in action on November 3-4 as they conclude the regular season taking on Navy, Johns Hopkins and George Washington.
