No. 20 Men's Water Polo Finishes Julian Fraser Memorial With Two Wins

Santa Clara, CA -  The Wagner men's water polo team (12-12; 5-2 MAWPC) won back to back games against Air Force (12-8) and Fresno Pacific (9-8) to conclude its trip out west with a 2-2 record at the Julian Fraser Memorial.

Wagner 12, Air Force 8:
The first stanza ended in a 1-1 stalemate between the Falcons of Air Force and the Seahawks, off a goal from sophomore lefty, Jack Leighton.

Two goals from junior driver Matthew Miller, and one goal apiece from sophomore driver Jasmin Kolasinac and freshman utility Vuk Bulajic stretched Wagner's lead to 5-3 at the end of the first half.

Miller added two more tallies in the third along with two scores from senior driver Teo Dadic to give the Green & White a 9-4 advantage before the fourth and final period.

After an Air Force goal, two additional goals from Dadic and one more from Kolasinac sealed the deal and a win for the Seahawks with a final score of 12-8.

Wagner 9, Fresno Pacific 8:
Dadic and Kolasinac opened up the first quarter with two and one tally, respectively, as Wagner took a 3-1 lead over the Sunbirds.

Fresno Pacific battled back from an early deficit to take an 8-7 lead into the final period of play. However, the Seahawks were able to hold FPU scoreless in the fourth quarter while also finding the back of the cage twice.

Kolasinac, Dadic, and senior utility Devin O'Donnell each registered two goals apiece in the win, as Leighton and junior driver Oscar Nomura contributed one score each.

Senior goalie Cameron Woldt made 10 saves in the cage for the Green & White.

Wagner is back in action on October 27-28 as they take host Johns Hopkins and La Salle at the Spiro Sports Center.
