Santa Clara, CA - The Wagner men's water polo team (10-12; 5-2 MAWPC) dropped back to back matches on Saturday to Santa Clara (13-10) and No. 15 Cal Baptist (16-9).
Santa Clara 13, Wagner 10:
The Broncos and the Seahawks were tied at 3-3 at the end of the first stanza, as junior driver
Matthew Miller, senior driver
Teo Dadic and senior utility
Devin O'Donnell each tallied one goal apiece.
Back and forth offensive play between the two teams left the score dead even at 5-5, as junior utility
Lachlan Trabinger and junior driver
Oscar Nomura found the back of the net once, respectively.
Sophomore lefty
Jack Leighton opened the third quarter with a Seahawk score, followed by one apiece from freshman utility
Vuk Bulajic, Kolasinac, and Trabinger. The score was knotted at 9-9 entering into the final period of play.
Kolasinac found the back of the net once more to begin the last eight minutes, followed by three more Bronco goals before the time ran out with a final score of 13-10 in favor of Santa Clara.
No. 15 Cal Baptist 16, Wagner 9:
The Green & White trailed the Lancers for the entirety of the game. At the end of the first period, Cal Baptist led by one at the end of the first period, with a score of 5-4.
The Lancers continued leading Wagner at the end of the first half with a score of 8-6. Despite three goals from the Seahawks in the third stanza, the Lancers were ahead by a count of 12-9.
In the fourth and final quarter, the Green & White were held scoreless, as Cal Baptist added four more insurance goals to secure the victory with a final score of 16-9.

Wagner concludes its stint out west against Air Force and Fresno Pacific tomorrow, October 21 at 10:40 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. (PST).
