Men's Water Polo Travels to Iona On Wednesday

New Rochelle, NY The Wagner men's water polo team will look to extend its three-game winning streak on Wednesday, September 20 when the Seahawks travel to Iona for a 7:00 p.m. start vs. the Gaels.

The Green & White (6-4) are coming off of an undefeated showing at the Bison Invitational on September 16-17, where they earned victories over Mercyhurst, Gannon, and Salem International to wrap up the weekend.

Junior driver Teo Dadic (Dubrovnik, Croatia / Gimnazija Dubrovnik [Long Beach City College]) was impressive all weekend, registering nine goals, six of which came in Wagner's come-from-behind win over Salem International.  

Freshman driver Jasmin Kolasinac (Belgrade, Serbia / King's College) also put up big numbers, recording 13 goals on the weekend, highlighted by a program-record nine vs. Mercyhurst, to along with eight steals, and eight drawn exclusions.

Junior goalkeeper Cameron Woldt (San Diego, CA / Serra High School [San Diego Mesa College]) was a solid force in the cage at the Bison Invitational tallying 16 saves and nine steals, helping the Seahawks emerge victorious in all three contests this weekend.

Scouting The Iona College Gaels:
In their most recent contest, Iona (3-5) snapped a five-game losing streak, recording a 19-6 victory over Connecticut College in its home opener on September 16, all of which came on the road.


In the win over Connecticut College, Marc Stauble led Iona with four goals, Brett Hofer added three, while Quinn Lloyd and Patrick Hudak scored two apiece. Jonathan Hulbert, Andrew Judge, Zach Roper, Matthew Rothman, Patrick Judge, Spencer Anthony, and Jason Hill each added one apiece.
