Brooklyn, NY – The No. 17 Wagner women's water polo team extended its Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) record to 10-0 after downing La Salle University 19-1 in the programs' second-ever meeting. The Seahawks, who clinched a MAAC tournament berth earlier this week, are now 2-0 on the season against the Explorers.

Four Seahawks registered hat tricks on the day, including a team-high five goals from freshman center Millie Pullyblank (Victoria, Australia / Haileybury Girls College).

The Explorers reached the back of the net first, scoring their lone tally of the game one minute into the opening stanza. However, the Green & White countered with an 18-0 run, netting seven goals before the first quarter's end. Three of those markers came from Wagner's leading scorer on the season, junior utility Kimberly Watson (Pointe-Claire, Quebec / John Rennie) who leads the conference with 80 goals.

Wagner extended its lead 12-1 at the half behind three consecutive strikes from Pullyblank. Her final marker of the day was a buzzer beater at intermission on an assist from fellow rookie Franciska Milo-Sidlo (Budapest, Hungary / Pasareti Gimnazium)

Five players scored in the second half as freshman attack Jacqui Sjogren completed the fourth hat trick of her rookie season on Grymes Hill.

The Green & White amassed a season high 23 saves while goalkeepers Emily Riddle (Edmonton, Alberta / Dr. E.P. Scarlett) and Anna Ward (Grayslake, IL / Mundelein) collected four and three saves, respectively.

The three-time MAAC champions return to Grymes Hill Sunday, April 9 for matchups with Siena (10:30 am) and Virginia Military Institute (2:30 pm). The contest with VMI will be streamed live, free of charge HERE.

Additionally, the Wagner athletic department will recognize its four graduating seniors: Gabryel Oloapu, Emily Riddle, Amanda Sutherland, and undergraduate manager, Madison Lyon
