Buffalo, NY - The Wagner College cross country team is sending a total of three athletes to compete in the 2017 NCAA Division I Cross Country Northeast Regional Championships, hosted by the University of Buffalo.
The 2017 Northeast Regional Championship will take place on Friday, November 10 at the Audubon Golf Course.
Representing the men's team is Northeast Conference (NEC) All-Conference performer

Jonathan Besselink (Kingston, Ontario / Holy Cross Catholic Secondary).
Abbatiello is coming off a ninth-place finish at the 2017 NEC Cross Country Championships, where he clocked in a time of 26:36.6. Abbatiello has been the top harrier for the Seahawks in three out of their five races. His best finish came at the NJIT XC Challenge, where he finished second with a time of 26:14.47.

Representing the women's team is redshirt senior
Nicole Bell (Branchville, NJ / Sussex County Technical). Bell had an impressive bounce back year, where she was the top Seahawk finisher in four out of the five meets.
