Day 1 Results
Piscataway, NJ – The Wagner College swimming and diving team sits in eighth place overall, and second among Northeast Conference (NEC) teams, after day one of the Frank Elm Invitational, hosted by Rutgers University.
The Seahawks have 125 points overall, right behind fellow NEC school Central Connecticut who sits in seventh with 132 points, while Navy leads the way in the team standings after day one of competition.
The Seahawks' 200 Free Relay, consisting of juniors
Dorian McMenemy (Northborough, MA / Algonquin Regional),
Andrea Gustafsson (Malmo, Sweden / ProCivitas Privata Gymnasium), sophomore
Kelsey Eastman (Effort, PA / Pleasant Valley), and senior
Kirsty Hessing (Bloomington, IL / Normal Community) finished fifth out of 22 teams, touching the wall in 1:34.39.
Freshman
Hande Kivanc (Istanbul, Turkey / Lake Forest Academy) touched third in the C-Final of the 200 IM, finishing in 2:07.40, good for 19
th overall on the night, while Gustafsson came in 22
nd overall in the 50 Free with a time of 24.06.
Seniors
Leahi Camacho (Kailua Kona, HI / Kealakene) and
Maddie McNichol (Downingtown, PA / Henderson) finished third and fourth, respectively, in the D-Final of the 500 Free, finishing in 5:02.76 and 5:03.34.
