New Britain, CT - The Wagner men's cross country team competed at the 14th Annual Ted Owen Cross Country Invitational on Saturday morning.
The Seahawks took home a fourth-place among the nine Division I programs that competed at the event. Host CCSU took top honors. Saint Francis U, Hartford, Wagner, Vermont, Bryant, NJIT, Marist and Fairleigh Dickinson round out the nine DI programs with So. Connecticut (26), New Haven (42) and Pace (54) also competing at the event.
Reigning Northeast Conference (NEC) Male Athlete and Rookie of the Week
Liam Harris (Cork, Ireland/Kent School) continues his dominance, finishing in second behind SFU's Bryce England. Harris, who finished the 8K race with a time of 25:21,9, has led the Seahawks in all three meets this season.
Junior
Joseph Abbatiello (Fredericksburg, VA/Stafford) clocked in with a time of 27:14.1 in his first meet of the 2016 cross country season.
The Seahawks will turn their attention to October 8, as they get set for the NJIT Highlander XC Challenge, which be held at Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ.
