Smithfield, RI – Tucker James scored six goals and dished out seven assists to lead the Bryant men's lacrosse team, which was coming off a win over No. 2 Brown, to an 18-5 Northeast Conference (NEC) victory over Wagner this afternoon.
With the loss, the Seahawks fall to 5-7 overall on the season, 0-3 in NEC play while the Bulldogs improve to 7-3 on the season and remain perfect in league with a 2-0 mark.
Shane Morrell and Ryan Sharpe added four and three goals, respectively for the Bulldogs, who led 8-2 at halftime. Goalie Waldt Gunnar recorded seven saves for Bryant.
Wagner received goals from five different players in sophomore attacker
Andrew Streilein, sophomore midfielder
Aaron Denesevich, redshirt junior midfielder
William McMenamin (Longport, NJ/ St. Augustine Prep), freshman attacker
John Norton (Catonsville, MD/Mount Saint Joseph) and sophomore attacker
Kevin Gray (Shamong, NJ/ Seneca).

Matt Sefcik (Towaco, NJ/ Morristown Beard School) registered 13 saves in goal before giving way to junior
David Hwang (Hauppauge, NY/Hauppauge) who came on to record two saves in the game's final 3:43.
Bryant held a 45-25 edge in shots, led in groundballs 33-15 and won 15-of-24 faceoffs.
Today's game was the first of three consecutive road contests for the Seahawks. Wagner is next in action on Saturday, April 16 at Sacred Heart in a 7:00 p.m. faceoff before concluding the three-game road stretch with a Noon start at Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, April 23.
Wagner will then wrap up the 2016 regular season on Saturday, April 30 with a rare 10:00 a.m. contest vs. Robert Morris on Senior Day.
