With the loss, the Seahawks, who were facing the Red Storm for the first time since 1999, are now 9-12 overall while St. John's improves to 16-13 on the year.
Freshman right fielder
Lauren Serrato (Litchfield Park, AZ/Verrado) paced the Seahawks going 2-for-3 with one RBI along with freshman catcher
Jessica Carlucci (Manalapan, NJ/Saint John Vianney), who was also 2-for-3.
Junior third baseman
Aerika High (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) recorded an RBI triple with one run scored, while freshman second baseman
Karen Prihoda (Hamilton Square, NJ/The Lawrenceville School) was 1-for-2 with one RBI.
The two other Seahawk hits came from junior centerfielder
Brianna Tredway (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown West) and freshman shortstop
Erica Krumbine (Freehold, NJ/Saint John Vianney).
Wagner returns to action on Thursday, March 31, for a doubleheader at St. Peter's University. The first pitch of game one is set to be thrown at 2:00 p.m.
