Jamaica, NY – Jade Walker scored 12 points and Alisha Keebee added nine as the St. John's Red Storm of the Big East Conference registered a 62-34 win over Wagner this afternoon at the Carnesecca Arena.
In winning their fifth straight game, the Red Storm improve to 7-3 on the season while the Seahawkss fall to 1-9.
St. John's led 15-6 after the first quarter and extended its lead to 28-13 at the intermission en route to the win.

Kerstie Phills (Charlotte, NC / Charlotte) and junior guard
Tanasia Russell (Vineland, NJ / Vineland) led the Seahawks with eight points apiece while freshman guard
Corinn Baggs (Staten Island, NY / Staten Island Academy) finished with seven. Russell and senior forward
Jackie Dluhi (Middletown, NJ / Middletown South) paced Wagner in the rebounding department, hauling in eight boards apiece.
Wagner held the edge in second-chance points, 12-5, while St. John's had the upper hand in points in the paint (34-18), points off turnovers (22-12), and fast break points (12-4).
For the game, SJU outshot the Seahawks, 42 percent to 21 percent while the Seahawks held their own on the glass against the taller, deeper, Red Storm as the teams tied with 44 rebounds apiece.
The Seahawks are next in action on Wednesday, December 21 when the Seahawks travel to Princeton for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off vs. the Tigers at Jadwin Gymnasium.
