2016 NCAA DI Northeast Regional Results(Men's Race)

Bronx, NY - The Wagner men's cross country team ran at the 2016 NCAA Division I Northeast Regional Championship, hosted by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) at Van Cortlandt Park on Friday. 

For the men's 10K race, newly-minted Northeast Conference (NEC) Freshman of the Year Liam Harris (Cork, Ireland/Kent School) placed 44th out of 245 runners in the event, crossing the finish line with a time of 31:43.50. 

Junior Joseph Abbatiello (Fredericksburg, VA/Stafford) crossed the finish line with a time of 33:11.32 while freshman Jonathan Besselink (Kingston, Ontario/Holy Cross Catholic Secondary) and sophomore Matthew Whalen (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown East) finished back-to-back with times of 
34:46.58 and 34:48.53, respectively.

The Seahawks will next compete at the very same Van Cortlandt Park on November 19 for the 2016 IC4A Cross Country Championships.
