Saint Peter's opened its 2015 season with a 5-1 loss at NJIT on Friday, August 21. The lone Saint Peter's goal came from freshman Michelle Laz, in the 47th minute that evened the contest to 1-1. For Laz, it was her first collegiate goal. Over the final 28 minutes of the game, the Highlanders scored four times to preserve the victory. NJIT outshot the Peacocks, 11-6. Netminder Taylor McLean recorded three stops in the game.
