Staten Island, NY – Today's women's lacrosse game between the Temple Owls and the Wagner Seahawks is now a 4:00 p.m. start at Hameline Field (originally 3:00 p.m.) to allow the grounds crew additional time to ready the field following the large amount of precipitation that was received overnight and earlier today.
The Seahawks are 2-3 on the season following Monday's night's tough 13-12, double-overtime loss at Saint Joseph's. Wagner is led by reigning Northeast Conference (NEC) Defensive Player of the Week
Shea Gegan (Belmar, NJ/Manasquan), a 5-10 midfielder, who leads the team in goals (10), assists (8), points (18), ground balls (18) and caused turnovers (16).

Olivia Streilein (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) is second on the team in scoring with 10 points (8G, 2A), followed by junior midfielder
Gretchen Fay (Spring Lake Heights, NJ/Manasquan) with nine points (9G, 0A) and junior attack
Stephanie Peterson (Vernon, NJ/Vernon Township), who has tallied eight points (7G, 1A).

Katie Ferraro (Owings Mill, MD/McDonogh) has a10.38 goals against average, and a .514 save percentage in 306:23 of action.
The Owls, who compete in the Big East, enter today's contest with a 4-1 record. Temple and Wagner have played two common opponents thus far in Saint Joseph's and American. The Owls are 2-0 in these contests (W SJU 12-11[ot]; W American 17-7), while the Seahawks are 1-1 vs. these same foes (L SJU 13-12[2ot]; W Lafayette 14-9.
