Men's Tennis Falls At 42nd-Ranked Penn State on Sunday

The Wagner men's tennis team was shut out by the 42nd-ranked Penn State University Nittany Lions, 7-0, on Sunday.  

The Seahawks fall to 7-8 on the season while the Nittany Lions improve to 9-10 on the year.

Wagner was defeated in #1 & #3 Doubles as the tandem of Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week, Michal Rolski (Kielczow, Poland/Oak Meadow [VT]) and Juan Alanis (Mexico City, Mexico/K12 Intermational Academy) were defeated by Alex Fennell and Christian Lutschaunig, 8-5. In #3, the pairing of newcomer Jakob Mostyn-Kolb (Melbourne, FL/Melbourne) and Allen Wang (Clovis, CA/Buchanan) were edged by the team of Marc Collado and Roman Trkulja. 8-3. The #2 doubles action was unfinished. 

Rolski was edged in #1 Flight singles by Fennell, 6-4; 6-2.  The Nittany Lions were able to secure back-to-back, 6-2; 6-2 triumphs in #2 and #3 singles.  In #4, Charlton Boyd (Shreveport, LA/Loyola College Prep) was ousted by Roman Trkulja, 6-1; 6-2. 

The Seahawks will be back in action on March 27th for a Northeast Conference match against Sacred Heart University.
